Every successful media product communicates a clear theme that shapes the narrative and emotional impact of the story. The central themes of my film opening include psychological control, emotional manipulation, and identity conflict.

These themes are explored through the relationship between the protagonist and their parent. Instead of showing obvious conflict, the opening focuses on subtle psychological tension that gradually becomes noticeable through dialogue, body language, and visual composition.

The domestic setting plays an important role in reinforcing these themes. Homes are usually associated with safety and comfort, but in this narrative the environment feels restrictive and tense. This contrast helps emphasise the emotional struggle experienced by the protagonist.

By focusing on these themes, my film opening aims to create intrigue and encourage the audience to question the characters’ motivations and relationships.
