Final Pre-Production Reflection

                                                          Development Review

The pre-production process has been essential in preparing for the filming stage of my psychological thriller opening. Each planning step, from story development and scripting to location scouting and shot planning has helped transform my initial idea into a structured production plan.

Through research and analysis, I gained a deeper understanding of psychological thriller conventions and how filmmakers use visual techniques to create tension. This knowledge influenced many of my creative decisions during the planning process.

Pre-production also helped me anticipate potential challenges and develop solutions before filming began. By organising schedules, planning shots, and conducting risk assessments, I ensured that the production stage will run more smoothly.

Overall, this planning process has strengthened my understanding of filmmaking and allowed me to approach the production stage with a clear creative vision.
