Planning Shot Design (Shot List)

A shot list outlines every shot required for the film opening. This document helps organise the filming process and ensures that all necessary footage is captured.

My shot list includes a variety of shot types such as establishing shots, medium shots, and close-ups. Close-ups will be particularly important because they capture subtle facial expressions and emotional reactions.

I also planned how camera angles will represent the power dynamic between the characters. For example, high-angle shots may be used to emphasise the protagonist’s vulnerability, while low-angle shots may present the parent as dominant.

Creating the shot list ensures that filming will be efficient and that the visual storytelling remains consistent with my original concept.
